I put together a limited edition of 200 portfolios of seventeen of the county court houses of the State of Nevada.  I traveled the state to get some of them and also worked from photographs found at the Nevada Historical Museum.  I have only fourteen left of the portfolios.

Commissions for the Adams House, an historic house in Carson City, Nevada. Also shownis the side garden of the house and the rose garden at the back of the house.

Now that I have this website I realize that I didn't photograph many of the commissions that I have done throughout the years.

Oh well!!

I will make sure I do from now on. I think I might even try and photograph the ones I have done hanging in homes.

I was commissioned by a local real estate agent who is  producing watercolor paintings of some of the houses in the Reno area for calendars she sends out to her clients.

The grounds happened to be more interesting than the house.

The commission of the house to the right was produced from four old photographs that had people in them, cars in front of the house and garage. The women who commissioned the painting lived in this house in the early 70's in Los Angeles and had fond memories of the years spent in the house.

This is a painting of my house.  I love this house. I bought it in 1990. I live in the university area of Reno. This house was built in 1927. I have two lots, so I have a great big yard to take care of. The street I live on is very quiet.  I feel like I am writing a story for children, "Look Jane, see the house? Isn't it cute? See the dog  named Cosette, two cats, Vanessa and Kidder that live at the house? It is fall and the trees are turning yellow.

The Nielson residence on Lakeside Drive in Reno.. This 100 yearold house was brought down from Virginia City.

This commission shows my sketchy watercolor technique of a cabin in Zephyr Cove, NV.

Louie ..... Christmas gift for 7 year-old Eva from her mom and dad for Christmas 2009. Louie is Eva's first dog. She will cherish this always. I did this painting in acrilylic. The dog is so fluffy I really wanted the texture to show.

Tula.....  I did this Summer of 2008. I am just now getting more pet commissions and ... I am really enjoying it. Tula was done in watercolor.
